Serving Red Deer
Hosting a Calgary celebration from Red Deer
When family is split between Central Alberta and Calgary, a hall at the north end of the city keeps the trip as short as it can be — about an hour and a half down the QEII to a room for up to 500.
Celebrating from Red Deer
When relatives are split between Red Deer and Calgary, someone has to travel. A hall in north-east Calgary keeps that trip as short as it can be: it is just off Deerfoot Trail on the north side of the city, close to where Highway 2 comes in, and a short drive from the airport for guests flying in from further away.
One hall for up to 500 means both sides of the family fit — with food from our own kitchen in five cuisines, decor arranged in-house and a raised stage for the speeches. For a wedding or a milestone anniversary, that puts everyone in the same room on the same night.
Getting here
From Red Deer, take Highway 2 (the QEII) south — roughly an hour and a half to Calgary in normal conditions. As you enter the city the highway becomes Deerfoot Trail; continue south past the airport and exit east toward 36 Street NE and Sunridge. Allow more time in winter, when conditions on the QEII can change quickly.
Parking is free on site. If guests are flying in, Calgary International Airport (YYC) is a short drive from the hall, and there are hotels around the airport. Tell us when the event starts and we can suggest when out-of-town guests should aim to arrive.

Why Red Deer hosts choose the hall
The north end of the city
Coming south on the QEII, you reach north-east Calgary before the rest of the city, so Red Deer guests avoid driving through the centre at either end of the night.
A short hop from YYC
Relatives flying in from outside Alberta land at Calgary International Airport, a short drive from the hall, and there are hotels nearby for anyone staying the night.
One hall for both sides
When half the guest list lives in Central Alberta and half in Calgary, a single hall for up to 500 keeps everyone at the same event, in the same room.

Red Deer questions
What guests and hosts travelling in usually ask. Anything else, call us — we reply the same day.
Do you travel to Red Deer for events?
No. Everything happens at our hall in Calgary — the kitchen, the decor and the stage are all here, which is how we keep the evening consistent. The trip tends to make sense when the guest list spans both cities, or when relatives are flying in and YYC is the natural arrival point.
How early should guests from Red Deer set off?
We suggest allowing two hours for a ninety-minute drive, and more in winter, so guests arrive before the first speeches rather than during them.
Tell us your date
We reply to every enquiry the same day — including the ones where the honest answer is that the date has gone.
