Serving Edmonton
When the family is in Edmonton and the celebration is in Calgary
For families split between Alberta's two largest cities, a Calgary hall a short drive from YYC can be the simplest answer — a short flight or roughly three hours on the QEII, then one room for up to 500.
Celebrating from Edmonton
When one side of the family is in Edmonton and the other in Calgary, someone has to travel. The useful question is which trip is easiest for the most people — and a hall in north-east Calgary, a short drive from the airport, answers it for guests coming by road and by air.
From there it is one hall for up to 500, food from our own kitchen with halal on request, and decor arranged in-house for every night of the wedding — so the Edmonton side of the family arrives to a room that is already finished, not one still being assembled by several suppliers.
Getting here
By road, take Highway 2 (the QEII) south from Edmonton for roughly three hours. It becomes Deerfoot Trail as you enter Calgary; continue south past the airport and exit east toward 36 Street NE and Sunridge. Winter driving on the QEII can add a good deal of time, so check conditions before setting off.
By air, Calgary International Airport (YYC) is a short drive from the hall, and there are hotels around the airport for guests staying over. Parking is free on site for anyone who drives down or rents a car. Send us the timings of your event and we can suggest when Edmonton guests should plan to arrive.

Why Edmonton hosts choose the hall
Fly in, a short drive to the door
Calgary International Airport is a short drive from the hall, so Edmonton guests who would rather not drive can fly down and be at the hall soon after landing.
Hotels near the airport
There are hotels around YYC and in north-east Calgary, so guests travelling for a multi-night wedding week can stay close to the hall rather than across the city.
One room for both cities
Up to 500 guests in a single hall, so the Edmonton and Calgary sides of the family celebrate together rather than at two separate receptions.

Edmonton questions
What guests and hosts travelling in usually ask. Anything else, call us — we reply the same day.
Do you have a location in Edmonton?
No. Moonlight is one hall, in north-east Calgary, and every event we host takes place there. It tends to suit Edmonton families when the guest list is split between the two cities, or when relatives are flying in and the airport is the natural meeting point.
Should Edmonton guests drive or fly?
It depends on the season and the size of the group. Driving is roughly three hours each way on the QEII; flying into YYC puts guests a short drive from the hall. For a winter event, flying is worth considering.
Can we hold the whole wedding week here from Edmonton?
Yes. The mehndi and sangeet, the wedding and the reception can all be held at the hall, so out-of-town guests only have one address to find. We reply to every enquiry the same day, and a tour takes about thirty minutes if you are in Calgary before the date.
