Fundraiser and charity dinners

A fundraising dinner with a full room, a clear appeal and an auction that keeps moving — with the hall, the food and the AV from one team.

A fundraiser has two jobs: give guests an evening they enjoy, and make the case for the cause clearly enough that they give. The second depends on the room — whether everyone can see the speaker and the screen, whether the appeal lands before dessert, and whether the auction keeps its pace.

The hall gives you a raised stage, a podium, a screen and wireless microphones for the appeal and a live auction, with the seating planned so every table faces them. Charities, school groups, sports clubs and community associations all fit here; tell us the cause and who is coming, and we will plan the evening with you.

  • Podium and screen for the appeal

A podium, screen and wireless microphones so the cause is seen and heard from every table.

  • Service around the speeches

Plated or buffet dinner timed so the appeal never competes with service.

  • Up to 500 supporters

One room for the whole audience, with seating arranged to your ticket sales.

  • Same-day replies

Committee questions answered the same day, from the first enquiry to the final count.

How it comes together

From the first conversation to the last guest out — one team, start to finish.

  1. Set the target

Tell us the cause, the expected numbers and how the money will be raised — tickets, an appeal, a live or silent auction.

  2. Plan the running order

Build the evening around the appeal: arrival, a first course, the speaker, the auction and dessert.

  3. Room and auction layout

We place the tables, the silent auction and the stage so guests can see, browse and bid.

  4. The evening

Guests arrive from free on-site parking, the appeal is heard in a settled room, and dinner keeps everyone seated through the auction.

The room

Ticketed fundraisers usually sell by the table, so round tables of one size keep the arithmetic simple and give sponsors a natural place near the stage. We keep the sightlines to the podium and screen clear from every table and place the silent auction away from the buffet. The hall holds up to 500 guests; we plan to your final ticket count.

The menu

Fundraiser dinners are often plated, so service can pause for the appeal and resume after it. For a community fundraiser a buffet of Punjabi, Pakistani or Indo-Canadian food works just as well, and a fully vegetarian menu keeps the evening open to everyone. We build the menu with you at a consultation, with a tasting, and confirm dietary requirements in writing before the day.

Questions we're asked

What hosts planning fundraiser dinners usually want to know. Anything else, ask us — we reply the same day.

Call (403) 483-4240See all FAQs

Can we run a live auction from the stage?

Yes. The podium, wireless microphones and screen suit an auctioneer, with each item shown on the screen as it is called.

Where do the silent auction tables go?

We plan their place once we see the item list, so guests can browse without blocking the buffet or the dance floor.

Can sponsors be recognised during the evening?

Yes, on the screen and from the podium. Tell us about any printed signage you plan to bring and we will confirm the arrangements at booking.

Can we see the hall before committing?

Yes. A tour takes about thirty minutes, with the room lit as it is on an event night, so the committee can picture the evening.
