December, and the weeks around it

Holiday and Christmas parties

A company Christmas party, a Diwali night for the office or a celebration in the new year — warm, well fed and easy to reach from across Calgary.

Holiday parties at Moonlight

A holiday party is the less formal cousin of the corporate gala. There may be a few words from the owner and a gift draw, but most of the evening is dinner, music and the team seeing each other outside work — often with partners, and sometimes with children.

December in Calgary means cold evenings and early dark. Free parking at the door, step-free access to the lobby and a properly heated hall make that easier on guests, and the lighting inside can be as festive or as restrained as your team likes.

Many teams want a December Friday or Saturday, so send us your preferred date early. An early-January celebration, once the holidays are over, is worth considering too.

  • Warm on a cold night

Heating held steady through the evening, with free parking a short walk from the door.

  • A festive menu

A Western holiday dinner beside Indian, Pakistani or Lebanese dishes, served from multiple buffet lines.

  • Families welcome

Milder kids' plates, served separately, for teams that bring children to the party.

  • December dates

Send us your preferred evening and we will reply the same day with what is still open.

How it comes together

From the first conversation to the last guest out — one team, start to finish.

  1. Pick the date

Send us your preferred evening and one or two alternatives.

  2. Menu and theme

Choose a festive palette and build the menu with a tasting at your consultation.

  3. Dinner

Guests arrive, eat from the buffet lines or a plated menu, and settle in for a few words from the stage.

  4. Gift draw and dancing

Prizes or a gift exchange from the stage, then the dance floor opens.

The room

Holiday parties are usually seated at round tables in mixed groups rather than by department, with the dance floor in front of the stage left open for after dinner. Teams that bring children often want a few tables near the buffet for families. We plan the layout to your count — from a single team to a company of up to 500 — and keep it relaxed.

The menu

A holiday menu can be as traditional or as local as your team: a Western holiday dinner with the trimmings, a Punjabi or Pakistani buffet, or an Indo-Canadian menu that mixes the two. Many companies choose a fusion menu so every part of the team finds something familiar. Halal is available on request, vegetarian menus are prepared in every cuisine, and late-night service can be arranged in advance.

Can we hold a Diwali or Eid party for the office instead?

Yes. We plan the food and decor for the occasion, with halal, vegetarian and Jain menus on request.

Can we invite families and children?

Yes. Kids' plates are milder and served separately, and we can set family tables close to the buffet.

Can we run a gift draw from the stage?

Yes. The stage has a podium, wireless microphones and a screen, so a draw, a few awards or a short video all fit into the evening.

When should we enquire about a December date?

As early as you can. We reply to every enquiry the same day and will tell you which of your preferred dates are still open.
